Blog Entry #1: Blog's Purpose

 What is the main purpose of blogs? Why do we write blogs? Why do I have to write blogs? In my Sophomore year of High School, my English teacher would make us have borrowed a book from the school library, and make us write blogs about the book as a summary every week. That's when I first started writing blogs. But it wasn't something that's very important or interesting. It was just writing summaries about what you have read from the book. So back then I thought blogs weren't special. I thought it's only for school work. But in this year's English in college, I realized that blogs aren't meant for only school work. I realized that the main purpose of blogs is to make a person have the purpose in what he/she is writing about. Writing blogs is a way for people to show their thoughts, show their interest, show their opinion, show their way of explaining or teaching things that they think people should also learn about them. There are many ways to write blogs. The person can be formal and informal however they want to write their blogs. People can write anything about their blog, it can be a way to teach something like how to cook, or be a photographer, how to ride and do tricks with the skateboard, etc. Or they can write about news about what's currently happening in the world and give their thoughts about it. People can literally write about anything on their blogs, it's like free writing. That's blogs' main purpose.

 I have explored this blog about the five exercises you can do in the morning. As I was exploring this blog, there were a lot of pictures, websites, videos, etc. The blog, it had topics about different exercises that you can do. Each exercise had a picture and website so that people can access it if they were interested in the exercise. This blog shows that when you write about different exercises, you would have to put a picture and a website for the exercise so people who are interested in this exercise can access it and learn about it more. I also explored another blog where it's about travel and understanding what's the place is about. The blog that I read was about Los Angeles. The blog explained the environment in Los Angeles and its vibes. The blog also had some pictures of restaurants, hotels, shops, places that are fun, etc. All of them had their own link of website so people can access it if they were interested.
